ICC on Mouse Models of Cancer - October 7-8th, 2010

As organisers, we invite you to attend the IDIBELL Cancer Conference on Mouse Models of Cancer (ICC on Mouse Models of Cancer). The meeting will be held at the Hesperia Convention Centre.

The ICC on Mouse Models of Cancer will begin on Thursday morning, October 7th, 2010, and will conclude on Friday afternoon, October 8th, 2010. The objective of ICC on Mouse Models of Cancer is to promote the communication and discussion about the last advances in different topics of cancer research by using mouse models, both, genetically modified mouse models, that overexpress or lack a specific gene, and xenograft models, immunodeficient mice bearing human tumours. These mouse models resemble basic features of human cancer and constitute an essential tool to characterize the genetic and molecular events leading to tumour development and directly involved in tumour progression and metastasis. These studies are fundamental to gain insight about the function of genes involved in these pathologic processes and to discover and validate new targets for anti-tumour therapy. Even more, these studies are relevant to design more efficient methods of diagnose and prediction of the pathological progression.

Applicants are encouraged to submit abstracts. A limited number of these abstracts will be selected for poster or oral presentation.
